Today, we will guide you through the process of using Alfred’s powerful filtering options to export precisely targeted lists. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced user, this tutorial will help you make the most of Alfred’s advanced export capabilities. Let’s get started!
Enabling Expert Mode and Filter Options
After logging in to your Alfred account, go to the “Recent Activity” section, where you’ll find a list of the completed hygiened lists. Locate the list you want to export and click on the “Export List” button.
Upon clicking the “Export List” button, a familiar pop-up window will appear. Here, select the “Download List” button. At the bottom of the pop-up, you’ll notice an “Expert Mode” toggle. Click the toggle to enable it, and the pop-up will transform, revealing advanced filtering options.
Filtering Options and Usage
Before diving into the filtering options, it’s essential to understand the difference between “and” and “or” statements. An “and” statement requires the outcome to satisfy all the specified conditions simultaneously. An “or” statement means the outcome needs to satisfy either one condition or the other.
Filtering by a Single Section (Treated as “Or” Statement)
If you choose to filter under a single section, such as “Score,” it will be treated as an “or” statement. For instance, selecting scores 7, 8, 9, and 10 will export a list containing all emails with a score ranging from 7 to 10. In other words, any email with a score of 7, 8, 9, or 10 will be included in the exported list.
Filtering by Multiple Sections (Treated as “And” Statement)
When filtering using different sections, it’s important to remember that an “and” statement applies. This means the result must meet all the specified criteria simultaneously. For example, if you choose “Deliverable” under the “Status” section, “Excellent” under the “Rating” section, and “Catch-all” under the “Reason” section, the filter will export emails that meet all of these criteria. In this scenario, the email must be deliverable, have an excellent rating, and fall under the catch-all reason category to be included in the exported list.
Remember, if you choose options under different sections, you need to choose wisely. You could end up with an empty list!
